Say what you really mean Janey!

Perhaps something like, "Remember that time you demoted me to the backbench, bitch!"

It’s a Bit difficult to be the party leader from the Senate

It has been done before (albeit quite a while ago) and parachuting senators into safe seats is not exactly unheard of either.

True but not sure if there is such a thing as a safe seat if you are in the Liberal Party currently and for the foreseeable.

Maybe that parachute could be made from the lycra used in Jane's dress here

After Sussan Ley, they need a break from the "only on the role because she's female" rhetoric.
Jane should have been leader atter the last election if they simply wanted a woman.

Even if she could I think she knows it's a poisoned chalice. She's in the senate until 2031 at this stage and I can't see VicLibs giving up that seat easily - she's fairly senior in the senate.

I reckon unless her hand is forced she'll happily sit in the deputy chair until the next election at which point if they can find a 'safe seat' they might drop her in and she'll have a tilt at PM.

Personally I see Melissa McIntosh being far more ambitious in that arena. That's my 2 pundit's cents.
