There is now a little thumbs up icon in green colour on posts for which you've been thanked, with a number next to it indicating number of thanks received. Force-refresh or clean your browser cache to get the correct look. I am going to look for a solution so cache clearing is not necessary in the future.

Found this thread wanting to know how Karma worked
Summary
Thanks button is there to thank posters for good content
So yes Karma algo punishes mega posters
Also Punishes long time posters as they didn't receive thanks before
The formula is simple #Posts/Thanks * 100
which means Karma goes down as # of posts increase
Aim is to post something that will be thanked i.e. quality or liked for whatever reason
Posters do appreciate the Thanks(even when they don't expect it) so viewers should be encouraged to thank
A small adjustment to the Formula to not punish mega posters and encourage posters with content and good behaviour would be good
Just need to determine that exactly
Thanking should increase karma slightly as your engaging
Posting content should also increase it slightly i.e. not punishing mega posters as much
Quality should still be the aim
