Note both images are exactly the same (same md5 hash). And that's approx 25mb combined bandwidth so far (up at nearly 400mb now). May seem like peanuts but cumulatively that will start to add up and no [forum] hosting has free bandwidth.

Maybe we (mods/admins) could look into setting up crosslinking to different forum topics (it's fairly do-able with php) so that Mel & Talia don't get regularly reposted. I take it the "Check for identical images previously uploaded" checkbox uses a crc type hash (md5?) to check for redundancy. Granted running that on every hosted pic for every upload would be too much but surely you could run that script on files hosted in known similar topics?
