Thanks for the additional images 20b .....now that Kath is down to one appearance/week you have to make the most of it! Her foot has obviously recovered enough to be standing in high heels .... I presume she has been wearing flat shoes behind the desk?
Some good news came to light this week .....the ABC News Channel will progressively be switching to HD in June: 11/5 (Tas, SA), 17/6 (WA,NT), 19/6 (Qld), 24/6 (NSW,ACT), 26/6(Vic). At last the ABC women will be on a level playing field with their counterparts on the other networks. The image quality will be a revelation compared with the SD quality endured thus far.
And now for the bad news ..... my irritation with Kath only appearing one day/week recently has been resolved. From the start of June, Kath will be filling-in for Hamish MacDonald (Sydney Morning Radio) 5 days/week .... clearly she has been given light duties for the last few weeks in preparation for this heavy load. As a consequence this coming Monday afternoon will be Kath's last TV appearance for some considerable time. Those lovely HD images of her will have to wait ......

20b, sorry for the misinformation last week (scheduling was changed very late) ..... glad you were on the ball as usual! Kath is firmly back presenting Monday Afternoons for the ABC TV News Channel, AND presenting Sydney Morning Radio (Tues- Fri) for ALL of June! The ABC is clearly determined to get her working all week to make up for lost time this year.

Interestingly, Kath has let slip a couple of times this year that her mother has died. I feel for her ..... always a very sad time when the last parent passes, and it's usually the mother. Perhaps it is this which explains her infrequent appearances over the last 7 months?

Apologies again 20b .... last Sunday Kath was scheduled to present her usual Monday Afternoon, but was shifted to Morning.. no make-up and her hair somewhat tousled suggests this was a hurried last minute fix?

Opportunities to cap Kath have become a rarity .... only two more Monday TV appearances scheduled for this month and then school holidays in July! Radio is taking up nearly all of her week. Are we going to lose her permanently to radio, and consequently from this forum?

I have listened to her on radio where her persona is surprisingly different to that whish she projects on TV. On radio Kath is constantly talking and often divulges snippets of her private life to illustrate points of discussion .... while discussing the problem of getting clothes dried in Sydney's constantly wet weather, she said:
"My undies are either shrinking in the dryer, or I'm eating too much" ..... whoops, far too much information Kath!
