At some point, perhaps they'll think to ask, "What if we had someone like that leading the party instead of this embarrassing clown that no one likes."

Hell, they might even think, "Maybe we should have kept Julie Bishop around as leader instead of ditching her for a succession of absolute pricks."

Nobody is thinking that about Julie 'the career deputy' Bishop. She is long forgotten.

Perceived lack of personal popularity did not stop Tony Abbott or John Howard from being elected. Plus Dutton is up against a weak, mealy-mouthed, speech impaired complete and utter moron so let's see.

But getting back to Humey.

Ahem

I don't watch a lot of tv but based on what I've seen and here - the libs really are banking on Humey. I predict whichever way the cookie crumbles in the election that this senator won't just be doing estimate hearings for very long...
And to be clear - there is nothing at all wrong with that.

As she's being completely owned in Senate Estimates. She's way out of her league & gets trounced every time.

She's supposedly one of the most active pollies [senators] in parliament.

Jane Hume often gets lashed in Senate Estimates as she has a habit of putting her foot in it. She might be active in parliament but being vociferous doesn't mean credible. Here's her voting record. It's not very good.

I'll be honest - most of the female pollies posted here by myself and others: I don't admire them for their politics.

Looking at her voting record
Quote:
Rebels 0.2% of the time

stood out to me. Some stuff she's clearly voted along party lines, others have obviously been by her conscience.
I would posit that that would be similar for most pollies (maybe aside from those on the absolute extreme ends of the pendulum swing).

While she may not have supermodel looks Jane didn't fall out of the fugly tree hitting every branch on the way down, she's not as dumb as some of her fellow parliamentarians and for a broad of a certain vintage, her chassis has held up just fine.

Let's take a moment to admire that shall we?
