20b, you did well to get just three semi smiling images of Kath .....they would have been the only ones for the entire program! Oh Kathryn ......what is the matter sweetheart? Where is the big beaming smile? Her whole demeanour yesterday was sombre ...... she looked drawn and tired. Possibly working too hard, as she also filled in for RN Drive on the previous day (Wed), and then again yesterday ....two gigs in one day, TV Morning News then Afternoon radio! Being a TV presenter is a hard job to pull off if you're feeling like shit! I hope it's nothing to do with the viability of her position at the ABC for next year, with all sorts of changes in train for the News Channel in particular? Interesting to see if Kath is in better spirits this afternoon ......

Kath looked gorgeous today .....her vibrant personality back, and her voice much more expressive and engaging. The slit in her skirt giving a glimpse of Kath's knobbly knees, despite which, she still has fabulous shapely legs. What a difference a day makes, or rather, the time of day makes! Noon is a much more comfortable hour for Kath ..... she is getting too old for early morning rises to prepare for the morning shift. Leave it to the younger women (Gemma, Ruby) ..... Ros Childs (58 next year) must be getting close to retirement, and Kath would be the ideal replacement for the plum noon - 4pm shift if the ABC is going to persist using her as a news reader next year? She deserves to be given overdue recognition and kudos as an exceptional news anchor, instead of being queen of the fill-ins for most of her ABC career.

Heads up 20b ......it's felt like an eternity, but our favourite blonde is back tomorrow for Th/fri mornings. It is unlike Kath to be missing for such a long period (4 weeks), particularly as we are into the pointy end of the year with only another 3/4 weeks of regular programming before the Christmas exodus. She has worked more than any other female presenter on the News Channel this year, so hopefully her absence was due to well-earned leave and not to illness?

Looking radiant in Red this morning. Great to see her back.

Worth the wait 20b ..... take all the time you want when you produce a great selection like this! Kath never loses her allure . forever beautiful, fascinating and smart. There is an engaging energy to the program when she takes charge!
