Another good one gone from TV.  CAREER PIVOT: High profile Today Show reporter Lara Vella is preparing to make the transition from television to print journalism after being headhunted by Double Bay Today. "We're very excited Lara is coming on board," says a statement from Double Bay Today. "She's repeatedly shown she's got what it takes to cover big, breaking national news stories, and she'll be hitting the ground running at DBT." It follows yesterday's segment on the Today Show in which Ms Vella hit the streets of Double Bay to interview locals about the government's proposed superannuation reforms. "Lara is very in tune with the issues impacting wealthy Australians," says DBT's editor. "That's why we believe she'll be an integral part of DBT's reporting staff." Lara Vella was not available for comment for this story, but Today Show host Karl Stefanovic says he's sad she's leaving the Nine Network. "I get it though," he says. "This is an opportunity too good to pass up. Everyone here at Nine wishes her well." Lara Vella is expected to start reporting for DBT next Tuesday.

So I'm guessing we wont get to see much of her anymore, damn that will be a shame, But am happy for her she deserves it
