She and about 4 other long time home and away actors take about 2 breaks of at least a month every single year.
I'd call them part time actors the amount of time alf or roo go away for extended periods and then people say You're back frustrates me like nothing else.

Ray Meagher is almost 80. The simple fact is at his age the sheer slog of filming five episodes a week is too much. Neighbours did the same for Ian Smith and Tom Oliver. The shows don't want t lose iconic institutions but they must make allowances for the aged actors' capabilities.

Georgie Parker has a great many outside interests and part of her contract is to allow her to go off and follow those from time to time. It's the trade off for having a double Logie winner in the cast. She's one of the cast members with actual talent, industry credibility and a genuine artistic following.

Ada Nicodemou is the shows "bit of Hollywood" so they work around her. Thank a very good agent/manager for that. Personally I've never seen what all the fuss is about. She held my attention for about 5 minutes as Katerina Ioannou in Heartbreak High, but she looks too much like my cousin for that not to be disturbing on so many levels. Once I'd made that mental connection there was no going back.
Also I don't count her one line in The Matrix as a film career. Her status baffles me. She was a decent little dancer back in the day, but she's not much cop as an actor and her character is a shrill opinionated horse mouthed yia-yia with far too high an estimation of her own importance and not nearly enough bikini time.
