Of all the sports in the world, I would never have picked F1 to be something she's into. Nor do I know anyone that watches it. I just don't get the appeal of the sport.. Cars go zoom zoom around a track,

There is a lot of science, and technical stuff that makes the cars go "zoom zoom". I understand that it may not be your "thing", but there is a broad appeal of it, for a lot of different reasons. As somewhat of a "gamer" myself, I can see why she could be a fan.
