"If I learnt anything during lockdown, it was to question what the point of 'all of this' was and to prioritise what serves me and my family – for now, it's this," she noted.

"The producers for choosing me as an actor and supporting this next stage of my career-it's never really GOODBYE is it?"

If this continues, the show is going to be in real trouble, accusations like this will damage it's reputation and that's never good for a big show like that.

If it keeps going like this they'll have to change to title to Love Thy Neighbour. Not sure how many will understand that reference, showing my age.

People slag off that program as they do Till Death Us Do Part and its follow-on and spin-off series Till Death... and In Sickness and in Health but Eddie Booth, like Alf Garnett, was a perfect critique of the narrow mindedness of the time. As for Johal, given she got some of the biggest storylines of the last couple of years & her gushing farewell press release it seems odd to burn her bridges with this kind of attack, & the examples given seem little more than evidence of a turn of phrase just as easily interpreted one way as another. She must be bloody secure in whatever she's moving on to. Either way. We're getting to a point where anyone who isn't Caucasian is entirely untouchable in terms of criticism or disagreement. That's a dangerous state to enter.
