In the video, shared with her 576,000 followers, Kane acts out a series of scenes that shows her nervous to come out, to the soundtrack of Michael Buble’s song Haven’t Met You Yet.
The actor placed a caption over her video that read “my friends, family, the TikTok algorithm and my twitter chat” just as the Canadian crooner can be heard singing “I’m not surprised”.
Kane also updated her nearly two million Instagram followers with the personal news, whispering “spoiler alert, I’m not straight”.
The Reign star, who moved to Hollywood to pursue her acting career, returned to WA from Los Angeles last year at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kane has also confirmed her pronouns are she/her.
Fans of the star have taken to Twitter to celebrate the news, calling her announcement “a win” for the LGBTQI+ community.
