Amelia Adams moving to London with the whole family as Channel 9’s European correspondent

SHE thought her career had stalled, but now Amelia Adams is packing the family, including 18 month old baby Matilda, and moving to London as Channel 9’s first mum European correspondent.
“It is my dream job,” Adams told Confidential.
“So when it was flagged with me, I was over the moon. I never thought it would happen at this crazy stage of my life with two kids.
“My four-year-old Charlie is really excited about going on an aeroplane. He says he is going to London to meet the queen. And we will hook him up with Princess Charlotte.”
Adams is set to replace the son of Nine Chairman Peter Costello, Seb Costelllo, when she takes up the appointment on July 1.
Costello has been redeployed to Nine’s Melbourne newsroom after a controversial tenure, which only began in February 2017.
The promotion couldn’t happen without Adams’ husband, former cameraman and production company director, Luke Adams, who will put his career on hold so his wife of nine-years can further hers.
“This is a great opportunity for Amelia and a great opportunity for me,” Luke said.
“There isn’t too many guys who get to take time out of their work lives to spend 18 months being the main carer of their children.
“A lot of guys would be freaked out about that, but I am genuinely looking forward to it.
“I think Amelia is going to have the harder job, but I am probably naive.”
