What a girl! Idiot snarky guys stuffed it up 30 years ago. 40+ years ago you would not wolf whistle or cat call a fugly, many women would even cross te road to set off work sites or known places of male verbal rape. During the transition years many guys started using wolf whistles and cat calls to embarass anything remotely female, rather than compliment... the rest is modern history.

Part o that segment is about, the presenters being able to share their personal feelings &, Belinda did firmly contextualise her statement in that way...
I thought it was a touching little moment actually. I don't think there's any excuse for runnin off with it - no one person has to answer for the entire social dynamic. 
& who wouldn't wanna better know Belinda, honestly ?
