What can I say! Rapidshare have as good as bloody died!
The bastards have put up their prices so much I can no longer afford it, it used to be one of the cheapest file hosts, but the new management have gone berserk! So, my once Premium account is no more, the files are mostly still there, but now only have a life of 30 days since their last download. So, any Rapidshare files I have previously ever posted on this forum may soon die, therefore, any files you may want to download should be grabbed ASAP!
I now have a Premium account with Rapidgator, which I have for downloading UFC and WWF Network files I want, after some research I found they are the current cheapest and best value file host.

I Think Admin should make this topic appear accross all threads so as members get a proper heads up.
I am using a new mediafire free account but just know that sooner or later some mongrel/ company will complain & get it zapped again, lost so much last time, mostly original work V stolen from TV stuff = ouch!

Discovered today that Rapidshare have deleted my account! and probably many others too! So 7gig of my files are gone... They said anyone who decided to stop paying for premium would continue as a free user, and their files would stay, as long as they were downloaded at least once every 30 days. Don't know why we bothered to trust them! Am now uploading to Mediafire, but am looking at MEGA too. When MEGA opened 18mths ago I signed up and uploaded a few files as a test to see how long they would last, and they are still there, even though they have never been downloaded...

I hear Zippyshare and OBoom are decent file hosters.

Oboom I couldn't find info on file life etc. I'm inclined to upload to MEGA, they have a 50gig limit, they say they don't have a set file size limit, and have no stated file life limit. I opened a free account 18 months ago and uploaded a file, then downloaded it to test download speeds, which are great, and that file has never been downloaded since because I've never posted a link anywhere, and it's still on their servers, so that's' good enough for me. The only real drawback of MEGA is that there is no indications anywhere of how many downloads each of your files have had, so you never know if it's worthwhile deleting files when there is obviously no interest in them.

And yet again bloody Mediafire have locked me out! for the third bloody time! Can't see my files! can't upload any new files! But I tried a couple of my latest Bindi Irwin posts, and they are still downloadable From now on I'm uploading to MEGA, which has faster download speeds anyway...
