Turning heads in The Bay! Home And Away's newest swimwear model star Pia Miller makes waves in a skimpy pair of short shorts as she works out by the beach

Summer Bay’s heating up as newcomer Katrina, played by model Pia Miller, hits the beach.

The 30-year-old actress and swimwear stunner was turning heads on the Home And Away set on Tuesday dressed in a white T-shirt and baseball cap while wearing matching blue, mint and yellow shorts and trainers.

And it looks like the leggy brunette's enviable form is causing a tidal effect among the local male population if shots from the set are anything to go by.

On location at Palm Beach the brunette beauty has clearly caught the attention of bad boy Darryl Braxton who leaving the surf and can’t keep his eyes off the athletic babe.

With his ripped torso on display, Brax appears to be calling out to Katrina who seems to stop and head back for a chat.

Surrounded by the surfers it looks like the flawless goddess will have the boys eating out of the palm of her hand.

Pia began filming her role as the ‘tough and resilient city girl who moves to Summer Bay’ last month but is yet to make her on-screen debut.

The Melbournian actress was born in Chile but was thrust into the limelight as a teenager, when she won a Dolly magazine cover girl competition.

Since then, she’s been a successful international model and appeared on shows such as Project Runway Australia and The Circle.

However, the model’s been keen to make the move into acting and has been pursuing her new career for the past five years, even taking classes and spending some time in Los Angeles.

The brunette beauty appeared in the 2011 Australian movie Big Mamma's Boy alongside Holly Valance and even appeared in an episode of soap Neighbours, playing Monica Wetherby, a kindergarten teacher who crossed paths with Rhys Lawson, played by Ben Barber.

This is the mother-of-two’s first big acting gig but it means dividing her time between Sydney, where the show is filmed and Melbourne, where she lives with her former AFL playing hubby Brad Miller and their two boys.
