Getting a bit over Mel being away every week reporting at some event that most people couldn't give a shit about. Why do they feel it necessary to have her reporting from a different location just about every week? If they must send someone over why can't it be that idiot Kochie? Sam is alright, but she is no Mel and usually wears pants. The very least they could do is have Nat host if it has to be Mel leaving the studio every week. Anyway, rant over. +1 on that spazzenger. If there's anyone they should ship off at any opportunity, I reckon it should be Andrew O'Keefe! Kochie would have to be a close second in my books.

On that, to me, Mel comes across as the kind of person who is always up for the glamour jobs because she has convinced the show's producers that her shit just don't stink.

She's seems to always be the one who is off on glamour (bullshit) assignments to Hollywood, or Washington or to Vatican City at the drop of a hat, other than GD who is a weather man so he has to do cool shit like go around Australia and off to Canada.

But you will never see her come in to work on a weekend or a public holiday and she seems to pull a sickie when she feels like it. Definitely not a team player.

It is always Sam who picks up her slack as the number two, IMO it is pretty average seeing that Sam always get the shit end of the stick thanks to Mel.

Mel is a bit weird sometimes too, like when they were talking about bringing her husband to Vatican City for some romance, she started acting very strange, very strange indeed and Sam had to remind her that she has a husband... sounds like Mel is getting bored in the bedroom and is looking for some fresh meat to me.

OK, I'm done... rant over.

It's just part of the deal she has with them to stay on the program. She wants to regarded as a journo. So she goes and presents from diff places and gets to say she is a journo. Seven is happy as it keeps her on the program and she is happy as she is a"journo"

I prefer Sam Armytage before 10 Mels. Not stunning enough to be there on that criteria, not experienced enough to bring that to the table, not funny enough either. It's like she's the jack of all trades, master of none. Occasionally she scrubs up OK, but usually not - Sam or Bathie both beat her hands down.

Morning TV will stereotype her, she must have photos of CH7 Execs or something, surely she can be replaced by a better looking model.

To be fair to Mel, she has been doing the same job for 10 or more years, waking up at 3.30 every morning for that long would be taxing(and sitting next to koche). She probably needed a change and in terms of chucking sickies she does have young children to care for. I know nat has as many days off but most of us notice it more when Mel is away.

For me mel is looking better than she did 10 years ago. Sam is hot too but you are comparing a different vintage. Its actually refreshing to have someone like Mel on tv. Someone who is not attention seeking. Saying all this, for selfish reasons I prefer her Mel in the studio-certainly a good way to start your day.

i couldn't care less where she is or about her personality I just want to see her in tighter and more revealing out fits haha. Same goes for all the girls at 7 i just wanna see less bland more sexy! but we know in this increasingly over the top politicly correct world thats not going to happen
I guess we will just have to settle for that quick glimpse above Mels knee or that split second of Kylies cleavage or when the banners aren't in the way so we get a peek at Sam's curves...
