Maybe ban new members from using web based email, gmail, hotmail etc. Noticed about 99% of spam I have deleted is from gmail addresses.

my Tamsin Egerton site gets hit by the same... they are from China & very persistant by manually creating 10-30 new variations wike woodkab12/ 13/ 14 etc daily :shock: :roll:

On my site i do not have bans on web based emails but as this mornings cull shows ... many of the consistent spammers now use their own email/ non gmail - hotmail - yahoo etc :wink:

The new anti-spam feature is up. It imposes additional checks upon new posters and suspicious posts will be forwarded for moderator approval instead of immediate publishing. We will start with relatively mild checks, but more can be added easily if needed. In four hours it already caught two spammers :ohyes:

EDIT: verified posters will not be affectted by these checks in any way.

Don't know if you want to keep using this thread for board issues/questions or not. Anyhow, is it normal for PM's to sit in the outbox? Am I doing something wrong?

Normally it sits in the out box until the recipient reads it.
