Problems with the image host site?
I get image place-holders but no thumbs or links. Doesn't work in either chromium or midori.

It has something to do with javascript implementation of thumbnail lazyloading. He reported firefox was handling it well, so it might be a temporary fix for you. Anyway, I will be replacing current thumbs with new ones shortly (perhaps even today), including some changes for alternative platforms.

On another box running ubuntu and swiftfox (a ff derivative). Still no joy. Thanks for the quick response tho!

I would like to make lazyloading optional via some sort of settings, but it should remain default for all users. All major features of the new uploader are now implemented, but I severely underestimated the time needed to create the new thumbnails. I don't want to burn the server alive, so I will rather do it slowly over next several days. It already took a lot of work, but I think it will be worth it. Uploading multiple images is possible and all picture handling is done on the same page (that is without reload). If you anyone's interested, here is development page with the new uploader, obviously not styled yet. Any feedback is welcome, especially positive one :) EDIT: you have to be logged in on the forum for uploader to work. It is also already linked to the forum database, so you could now theoretically use it for uploading. But don't do it yet, because the new uploader uses new kind of thumbs, which the old filesystem won't display.

it seems to work ok , like all these java? script based stuffs, it takes longer to load the initial uploader page, on Mozilla & IE ,than just a regular uploader. Now i just need an wireless internet connection that does not time out & drop out, so uploading more than 1-3 images at a time is a reality, lol

Don't know whether this is relevant or not, but when I logged in yesterday I got placeholders instead of images. I run "No Script", and have never had to unblock third party scripts loaded by AusCelebs before. However, I noticed that jquery.com was being blocked; so I unblocked it and all the thumbs loaded normally. Others finding placeholders may be running a script blocker as well; if so, try unblocking jquery.com and refresh the page. It worked for me.

It is usually used for uploading larger files, but might be useful for mobile users or users with unstable internet connection. I am not precisely a flash guru, so I can't promise I will make it work, but it is worth a try. Anyway, what kind of connection do you have, man? Reminds me of my dial-up days btw: I should keep the old uploader for no JS/flash users, which would make another candidate for the forum settings. Yes, we need forum settings.

Not sure if you are aware but Firefox and Chrome support multiple file upload via single upload field, I recently implemented it for one of my projects and it works a treat. IE support is coming in version 10. Here is an example http://stackoverflow.com/a/12006515

Here is an example http://stackoverflow.com/a/12006515Yes, but flash version is still a preferable solution, because it allows me to handle uploads in detail (filter file types on client side, chunk uploads) and most importantly it works in almost all browsers, while IE still largely ignores html 5 even in 9th version, which will be sticking around for many years to come I want to keep the html uploader in some form, though and this might be a good way to go there. btw: today we've had the most visitors for this year so far - 5200uIPs, 6300visitors
