3 programs actually. I am a Linux user, so none of this is probably going to be of any use to you:

1) gtk-recordmydesktop - I use this one to literally record whatever is going on on my desktop, including any videos, mouse movements etc. This creates an .ogv file (Ogg Vorbis Video)

2) HandBrake editor - edit video produced in the first step. Use this to crop any parts of the desktop I don't want in the final video

3) AviDemux - edit video produced in the second step. This is a timeline editor, so remove bits of recording not directly related to video itself. Export in XviD format

It is crude, and resulting videos are not of the highest quality, but it does mean that almost anything can be captured as long as I can play it on my desktop.

Thanks for that, I might have to give it a go myself. Any quality is better than no quality, thats how I think of it and the quality of your videos are good.
