Unfortunately, V8, 'ass' in America refers to the front bum, 'fanny' refers to the 'arse'. Funny that.

Straight from the online 'Urban Dictionary': Ass = a slang term to describe the buttox!!
'Fanny' is another American term for the Ass/Bum/Buttox/etc!

Lived in LA, Dallas and Chicago, during which time I visited Aspen, Salt Lake City, Palm Springs, etc, etc, etc. Also had a 3 year defacto relationship with one of the senior merchandise managers for Saks 5th Avenue. What about you?
