Twist to Seven marriage splits
TWO of Channel 7's high-profile news reporters are in a messy situation after their marriages broke down and the cameraman husband of one later began a relationship with the other.

Recently returned LA correspondent Rahni Sadler is nursing a broken heart after she and her husband, Trent Miller, 32, recently split.

Melbourne-based reporter Rebecca Maddern separated from her husband of more then two years, Geelong real estate agent James Wilson, before last Christmas. She is now believed to be in a relationship with Miller, who she has worked with.

Sadler, returned from the LA bureau to take up a full-time position on the Sunday Night program. The show's executive producer, Mark Llewellyn, last night confirmed Sadler's split.

"Of course it is a difficult time for Rahni, but she is a strong person and she has our full support," he said.
A network spokeswoman said Maddern, who often read the 4.30pm bulletin, was in Melbourne on general newsroom duties while Miller, once a Seven employee, was a freelance cameraman.

Sadler is regarded as one of the best young operators at Seven, particularly impressing with her live reporting during the US presidential election campaign.

But she had kept news of her split with Miller quiet, having only married in December 2008.

"I had no idea," one surprised senior colleague said.
