I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed this but it's something that has me perplexed about the state of the SOO as a whole; while Stewart was being interviewed after the game, you couldn't wipe the smile off his face. He was proud of the fact that he had just played an Origin match and he was spewing the joy of his father's recognition and his enjoyment of scoring a try and the crowd's response to such. He was on the losing team. I can't remember a Queensland player having a similar response. Am I wrong? Does the SOO mean more to Queenslanders than it does to those south of the border?

On a slightly different point, who would be selected in the Australian team if it were picked tomorrow? I fear that NSW would still have a very strong representation based on not a lot more than reputation. If I was picking the team (and only from the players in the current series), I would have to pick (if healthy):
 FB: Hunt
Wing: Inglis & Hayne (who shows great promise)
Centre: Hodges & Cooper (who seemed lost without support)
 5/8: Lockyer
 1/2: Thurston
 Lock: Johnson
 2nd Row: Carroll & Mason
 Hooker: Smith
 Prop: Civinoceva & Price

I would like to pick Ryan, Hindmarsh & Lyon but their performances don't justify it at the moment.

28 to 18 will make the QLDers smile .. could have been a lot worse for the blues ,if they played as bad as the 1st half

Well done on picking the margin offwork. You didn't happen to put any dosh on that did you. Anyway another great win for QLD even though the referees tried their hardest to make us lose. QUEENSLANDER!!!
