You mean something like this? - Female celebs - Male celebs - Models - News & Media Presenters - Music Solo Artists & Bands Or simply: - Male celebs - Female celebs (this would be way too radical IMO) sharkboi wrote: We also need a section for female politicians, like Julia Gillard, Julie Bishop and Kate Ellis etc etc... I'm not sure if politicians could keep their's own forum active enough, maybe to create the subforum in celebs forum or some sticky thread or something...

That looks good so it is easy to look through.

What they did over at AussiesExposed is group the celebrities alphabetically (ie: A-E, F-J, K-O, P-T, & U-Z). Maybe adding these subgroups in the celebrity forums could make it an easier & less protracted process for members seeking a celebrity by name?

You just wouldn't have enough material for that section. It would be dead even before it started.

Unless you can go alphabetically all the way (forums under A-E,F-J etc.), I wouldn't bother with it.

So my question now is...where would I post a pic of Julia Gillard or Julie Bishop, or any other female politician? They aren't 'celebs' they aren't 'models' they aren't 'singers', so where do they go?

The current format works as it is , wether movie & tv celebs are merged or not, as when something is hot/ interesting in:- the news/ on screen or tv, that topic will be on the front page. ATM it is fairly random as we back fill topics however that should start slowing down soon enough. I seem to remember we separated Movie/Stage, Newsreaders & Music folk to reduce congestion, especially when cappers get crushes on newschix & create 2 pages in a hit to sort through ,thus defeating the point above ..first [strike]maid[/strike] made

Unless you can go alphabetically all the way (forums under A-E,F-J etc.), I wouldn't bother with it. I just meant that the forums look the same as they do now except for when you go into the Female (or Male) Celebs forum, instead of just seeing one giant collection, you have five subgroups (alphabetically for simplicity's sake) so the main page would still look the same. They'd still all be in the one forum, but sorted into smaller alpha-groups (like the books & DVDs at libraries & stores) to make it less overwhelming. djmenow wrote: wolverine wrote: SKaVeN wrote: What they did over at AussiesExposed is group the celebrities alphabetically (ie: A-E, F-J, K-O, P-T, & U-Z). The problem with 6the search function is, although it does work very well, it possibly works a little too well. A couple of times I have used it & typed in a celebrity name & it lists every post in every thread where that name was mentioned so you often have to trawl through a few pages to find the thread for which you were looking. There's also the fact that if someone only remembered part of the celebrity's name or didn't know the exact spelling the search function would not be much help. (Google is not always helpful to resolve this.) wolverine wrote: czblack wrote: sharkboi wrote: We also need a section for female politicians, like Julia Gillard, Julie Bishop and Kate Ellis etc etc... I hear Walker has quite a collection of Mandy Vanstone pictures & don't even get Frannybaggins started on Hillary Clinton & Condoleezza Rice... PS: Kudos for getting the new site banner up & running.

I hate the way it is set up at the other forum board. This is alot more cleaner and straight forward. No one has really ever complained about finding a certain celeb (taking out the search issues from the old AC).
