so do we wait for cz to work his magic, or start reloading all our old posts from scratch??? i started re-populating some of my old posts & now they're gone  are the old pics going to be restored???

There is absolutely no chance of any of those old posts having their links pointing to any valid images all of a sudden. First of all, we don't have the images, second we have a whole new uploader which classifies and renames images on the fly and third, we don't have the original domain name (aussiecelebs.com) to which they all point to. So please, start uploading whatever content you have so we can have the board back in good shape again as soon as we can.

I and I know many others named their images based on the name of the person and date of the show/capture and sometimes adding the show it was capped from. Now all you get is a meaningless number tagged on and looking at the images I haven't a clue when many of them were from or how old they are.

This was debated to death amongst admins during development, even when the old board was still up. Handling images the old way was unsustainable because they all were in the same directory and had reached over 80GB in size. Managing them became impossible and we had to start classifying them by topics. So that I don't have to go into this debate again, just trust me when I say that some of us have tried to keep at least part of the original file name but in the end it just didn't work.

Fair enough Wolverine and I thought it would be something along those lines.
No problem for new caps, scans and images as you have an idea of the date and place plus if the posters add some comment to the post as to what and when the pics are about then it helps.
Problem is with the old stuff being re-uploaded, e.g. do I have that one or not, and where and when was it from.
I'll make sure when I get round to uploading my stuff I post the details as well.
Again thanks for your efforts and for keeping us informed as to what you are doing and the constraints you are under, makes it all understandable.
