And you should see episode 4 around midnight as well!

I was quite pleased when they mentioned the Mara last night. It's good to see Torchwood acknowledging the mythology created in "Classic Who".

I've been quite impressed with the show so far too.

Series 2 is in the pipeline too.

Don't know of dvd release here, but apparently the DVD of HALF S1 was priced at 75 quid, tho!

Without a doubt this is one of the worst produced shows ive ever seen its some kind of strange welsh cross between xfiles and dr who on steroids... plots are lame actors not far behind.. i doubt it will last very long as im sure the ratings wil be crap.............

While I'll agree that it is kind of X files and Dr Who I think the rest is pretty far off, and given the lack of acting on TV (ie reality junk everywhere you turn) I'd don't think it's overly bad (Gwen is pretty bad). The BBc's ratings for it were off the chart so it should be around for awhile. Given it's science fiction I'm surprised it's lasted this long in it's timeslot at ten

In comparison to most of the crap we get from the US (& some of our "home grown" drama I'm sorry to say) I think it's a very polished production.
I heard nothing but criticism about it before it came on the tellybox so was pleasantly surprised with the quality that it is...

I hear next week it's been shifted from 9.30pm Monday to midnight Thursday. Gee whiz, what a surprise! Nice return to form Channel 10!
If it's going to be replaced by yet another crappy American Reality-TV show then that's another return to form.
Let's hope Channel 10 doesn't decide to poach future series of Doctor Who!

It should have been on ABC from the start. Torchwood requires too much brain activity for the Big Brother audience.
