There's only been one release & that's it. I have a copy myself. There's no audio commentary or on screen notes only special features it has are some isolated music cues. The cover sleeve looks different too. I think it might have been an early release to mark some kind of anniversary before they started & decided how to package the rest of them...

There are eleven DVD shops at Marion, yet I have never seen "New Beginnings" in any of them!!!

I have to say that I do agree with what Terrence Dicks & Philip Hinchcliffe said about Tom in his earlier years in that you have to keep him on a short leash or else he will play it up too much. In his later years (when his ego was completely out of control) he was allowed to do just that & played it up a bit too much I think &, looking back, the last two seasons the act was getting a bit tired & it did look like time for him to go. JNT "helped" him to make that decision to do so which is probably the only thing JNT did that I think was the right call (which is ironic because Tom was & is my favourite Doctor).
