Easy win for the Opals over NZ. Lauren Jackson at her dominant best.

Bad luck to the Opals in the final. LJ was off her game last night. Caned the boards but could not hit a shot.

yeah i thought she'd get mobbed by the bigger US forwards.. Leslie and Griffiths.. were quite a force in the paint. Batkovic did well to help out, but we really needed LJ to score a fair bit to make an impact.
Well done to Penny Taylor who had a really good meet. If she didnt get into foul trouble in that gold medal game you never know what mightve happened.....

I really dont think that Brondello ...or Sporn should have been there ...

To much reliance on Jackson ...and too much inside driving to the bucket ...the yanks woke up ...

Good to see the Opals and Boomers win their respective glod meals at the Commonwealth games.

One thing I was sick of seeing is all Goorjians Kings get the majority of the court time in the games especially the gold medal game. Worthington, CJ, Kendall and Smith on the court at the same time.

Goorjian has got a conflict of interest with being the coach of the Kings and the Boomers coach.

He did the same thing at the Sydney Olympics with Grace sitting on his arse most of the tournament and him favouring the pathetic Heal as he played for the Kings.

Yeah i hated that two. At one stage the five were Kendall, Worthington, CJ, Smtih and Ronaldson, all Gorjiann players.
Can someone tell me why Neil Mottram didnt play in the final.

Well Ronaldson is actually a Wildcat atm.

Mottram did not deserve to even be in the Boomers squad but because of the lack of big guys in the country available they had to pick him.
