Cal gets feet on red carpet again

BREAK a leg would be the least funny thing you could have said to actor Callan Mulvey at last night's Thunderstruck world premiere in Sydney.


It took months of rehabilitation before Mulvey could walk the red carpet at the George St cinema complex for the opening of his latest film.

The former star of Heartbreak High stole the show on his first public appearance since a car accident on New Year's Eve left him with back and facial injuries.


With him were co-stars Ryan Johnson, Stephen Curry and Damon Gameau _ sans the mullets they sport in the film.


Thunderstruck has become one of the big hits at the Cannes Film Festival over the past week, so much so distributors have had to put on extra screenings to cope with overseas interest.






The all-Aussie film is about five mates who make a pact at the Sydney concert of AC/DC's Australian tour in 1991.


They agree that the first of them to die will have his ashes scattered on the grave next to their idol – Bon Scott.



Following last night's screening guests, including original AC/DC bassplayer Mark Evans, headed across the road to the Metro for an after-party.
