Can you give me a link to the original document? https://www.niaa.gov.au/sites/default/f ... 23-016.pdfOver a 100 pages full of legalese and contains gems like Hobart: Treaty needs to recognise sovereignty, a land and a financial settlement, and recognition of rights
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Treaty would be the vehicle to achieve self- determination, autonomy and self-government
recognition of Indigenous peoples as the original owners of this land, and of the particular rights that are associated with that statuswhich have been summarised into the above document it appears and depending on how the particular group wanted to the process to go at the end is a diagram which voted on some ideas including recognition which appears to be voted down Its a combination of a number of documents made from various meeting/conferences. and a lot of it also comes from the rich like Peter Garrett (law school,Barker College alumni yes rich family to start with) just look at the lyrics of "Beds are burning" https://genius.com/Midnight-oil-beds-are-burning-lyrics To pay the rent, to pay our share The time has come, a fact's a fact It belongs to them, let's give it backDid you know these were being held? Who paid for them? One More Thing "Phillip’s instructions assumed that Australia was terra nullius, or belonged to no-one" is in the document then goes on to " No-one asked permission to settle. No-one consented, no-one ceded. Sovereignty was not passed from the Aboriginal peoples by any actions of legal significance voluntarily taken by or on behalf of them" In reality the indigenous population had zero government and very little in structure of civilisation additionally the world over borders/Governments and groups change as it is inevitable yes they were conquered as were many other nations around the world and in most cases things improved for the locals eventually. The country I was born in thankfully no longer exists as an example. It took a war for it to be dismantled and what is left now is a democracy and relatively peaceful. ATSI peoples should take that kind of lesson and get rid of that white man is bad and look at the benefits they received see Jacinta Nampijinpa Price address to to National press club for her words on this

... and the truth will set you freeeeee / Bring the lies to to the surface for everyone to see/read... all should be voting "No" to this.
As I already suggested at the end of my 1st post (however the 'woke' people on this forum will never change their minds like Kamahl did yesterday for the 3rd time).... "My final words are... Vote NO, treat everyone with dignity, respect and thoughtfulness of your fellow human being and stop this madness."

Why did it take a Freedom of Information request to get this document? All I can say is spread it around to other social media and hopefully the No vote will be cemented
Another random look at the Voice document
Law-making power The delegates of the Hobart dialogue agreed it was preferable that the Federal Parliament be first required to seek consent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples before such laws are made.
So who will really be in charge

The interesting thing is the change in the national anthem to "we are one and free" The way albanese is carrying on he's basically saying that we are not one and free there are race and class distinctions in society.
