Thanks 20b, you perfectly captured Kath at her vivacious best last weekend .... she is a brilliant co-host, and always brings much needed energy to Weekend Breakfast. She could be missing again this week as she is having a skin cancer removed from her back, a relatively common procedure for many Australians, particularly those with Kath's very fair complexion.

Australians with mainly British ancestry, who evolved in a much milder climate, being constantly exposed to the fierce Australian sun requires a lifetime of vigilance to avoid skin cancer. All of Britain lies in latitudes which if translated into the southern hemisphere would place Britain well south of Tasmania ... not surprising then, according to Kath, that Tasmania is where she spent her recent summer holidays.
