Kath seems to be taking a much more prominent role in "The Business" this year, with most programs full of her interviewing, demonstrating her over-arching knowledge of the money scene. The full interview with Jeremy Grantham(15 min), is engrossing and is available on iview. She does the ABC and Australia proud.
And 20b has captured some rapturous images of Kath this week, to remind us (if we needed it!), how drop-dead gorgeous and elegantly beautiful she is. I get lost in those smouldering, evocative eyes....

Ah! Gonzee, you know me too well! But no, enough of my ardour for Kath for one week. Of course she always looks lovely, although I found Friday night's red dress to be a little unflattering. It seems to be ill-fitting, and makes Kath appear to be almost flat-chested (which we know she certainly is not!). More to the point, what is Kath doing (regularly?) on this Friday afternoon/night news reading shift? She must be bored witless, doing the same stories over and over again for 3-4 hours. Reading from an auto-cue is hardly good use of her journalistic talents. The ABC should allow her to host "The Drum" on Fridays if she needs to make up time in her contract.

Two programs in a row wearing the same dress! Marooned in the Sydney studios because of the floods.....??? And Kath is still stuck in her "Business Bunker". No outside interviews or even in-house interviews, is making for a rather stylized program. The 15 minute allocation means the show is almost over before it begins, and it is clearly heavily cut and edited so that Kath's vibrant personality is almost eliminated from the interviews. You can only cut and edit so far - the information is important but it loses it's punch if it is not presented in an entertaining manner. So why is the program only 15 minutes (Summer Business was 30 minutes).The 8.45 timeslot (on Channel 24) is in the middle of programs on other channels. Put bluntly, I think Kath is getting a raw deal! Even the current promos for the ABC feature Elysse Morgan for Business, when Kath has been fronting this program since last April. Clearly she has many younger "Business" chicks snapping at her heels for her position: Elysse Morgan, Alicia Barry and Rachel Pupazzoni to name a few. Possibly a contributing factor as to why I sometimes catch a hint of sadness in some of 20b's superb images of this hauntingly beautiful woman.
