Former Beauty and the Geek contestant Tamika Chesser has appeared in court following an incident involving a police officer on ANZAC Day.
The 20-year-old faced two counts of assaulting or obstructing a police officer and one of being drunk in public.
Chesser said she was confronted by police officers on Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise while trying to ring a friend. She said they accused her of being drunk in public.
"The next minute I know, they're saying: 'You're going to have to come with us'," Chesser said.
Chesser said she “snapped” and was shoved to the pavement while one of the police officers said she was dressing like a “slut”.
She has complained to the state’s Crime and Misconduct Commission, arguing that she was wrongfully and brutally arrested.
Her case has been adjourned until June 15.

Well well well... It turns out, Kara is not just a "Personal Shopper" like she claimed on the show. She is also a grid girl at Australian GT Championship (this was taken in Townsville).
