Sorry guys. didn't mean to ignore the replies. Just got delayed being away on assignment.
I'm sure those that "work in the industry" know this but just to clear up what I meant....
The cameras used these days often have a teleprompter attached and so they get packed together. When the camera is used in a fixed position on the tripod, it attaches to the side.

The inference by the original post was that she (and presumably the other hosts) were talking heads, flown in to read an autocue and weren't real journalists. Whilst there was physically a teleprompter there, the entire show for those few days was unscripted. the only info on there was run down stuff on what's coming up and for the most part, the hosts and journos were not anchored to the spot where that was anyway. They winged the coverage without scripts. Not that anyone cares anyway, but just to be clear.

Also, the circular argument about who is and isn't a journo and what makes one is so old...rather than try to split hairs, why not just accept that if someone has a contract with a media company that says they are a journo and they are paid accordingly, then they are. And I'm happy to include legitimate bloggers with a reasonable audience in that count too. Fair enough? now, back to all those lovely images....!

Fair enough Hendo, if that definition works for you, then all power to you.
From my point of view, journalism involves actually coming up with material, research, checking sources etc. Not just an official job-title.
I'm still definitely a Mel fan though.

You can see the run sheets in Mels hand in most of “Hops” caps. You can even see an update being delivered to her.

In the last cap you can see a lady (Blue top White cap) next to the energex truck; she is the best researcher you have
ever seen!! She is the person to thank for helping Mel look so good out on the streets.

I cant believe this debate on the journalistic intergrity or otherwise of Mel is even being discussed at all when we have these sensational pics of her fabulous body to drool over !!!!!

What about that substantial rump and the muffin top in those jeans mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Its her little imperfections that make her ever so sexy in my mind at least.

Forgive me if this has been covered already but where did these behind the scenes type pics come from ??
