modecko or should that be Modecko ? How can you call Koshie a leftie ? i would say that he is old enough to still remember what a Journo should be = ballanced & fair. Any inspired stuff of hard line questions etc he is usually looking for a scoop , rather than being supportive of either wing, from my observations over the years.

I don't remember modecko calling Kochie a "leftie". I personally just think Kochie has a habit of latching onto an issue because he thinks it's "popular", without doing his research, and then acting like a selfish pig-headed stubborn idiot if anyone DARES to disagree with his point of view.

Thankfully Mel, and especially Nat, manage to "pull his head in" when it's required.

That's probably because both Nat and Mel have at least been reporters, whereas 'the Kosh' is a blow-in (some would say blow-ard) from the financial sector!

Spot on LosihoTTT, you have hit on how Sunrise with Kochie has been successful. Mel most of all but Nat as well temper Kochie's over exuberance and pull him into line quick smart whenever he over steps the mark. They are very good at it.

Strange isn't it though that Kochie who is brutally honest and out front in his opinions is lambasted for it by the conservatives whilst Abbott who is the same is mostly praised for it by those same conservatives. Both often put their foot into it.

It is a mark of respect to start a name with a capital  ( Mr Capital letter Nazi ) we really do need a sarcasim icon, as it would have made my above post make more sence ... well apart from the factual bitching about seppo set :smoke:

Koshie was far more entertaining very early on, the visible- audiable thought processes compared to him previously being able to type/ proof read / juggle etc ... "gotta love live" :ohyes:

Yes. Unfortunately, if you say what you really think in this world, you get slaughtered. Funnily enough, even though I (mostly) disagree with Kochie on occasions, I at least respect him for putting his opinion out there. Mel, on the other hand, gorgeous as she is, has a habit of fence sitting on issues (or passing the buck / avoiding the question).

Still, the "old fart" can sometimes be entertaining, like when he smashed the cordless dust buster just after Wolfmother played in the studio
