Very amusing. Seamless graphics.

I don't actually mind Andrew Denton, sure he's a bit of a swarmy know it all weed, but in a country that hardly celebrates intellectuals, I find it hard to stick the boot into him.

He's done a lot of good things, I find Enough Rope to be one big cliche would probably be the best way to describe my feelings.

I think that Denton's okay too.

My high-tech photo (why wouldn't they give me a job in the CGI department of the new Star Wars films?) is just a bit of fun.

He often asks questions that other interviewers wouldn't ask.

Most interviewers, when interviewing celebrities, talk complete crap and useless pap. It's nearly always simply self promotion, self congratulation and ego massaging.

Angela Bishop and 60 minutes, I'm looking at you!

Angela Bishop!!! Image

She's easily one of my favourites! I don't think many people would call what she does "interviewing". In fact, I think you'd be struggling to find anyone who'd call it journalism.

Did you see that episode of The Panel where they totally humiliated her? She was their original celebrity gossip presenter & every week she's come out with the most ridiculous whoppers.

One week she said, "I was just relaxing & then the phone rang & it was Mick Jagger & he said, "Ang, will you come & be my training partner at the gym?" So I went down & we sat on the exercise bikes & laughed at all the stuff on the video screens."

The next week she said, "I was at the promotion launch when Billy Joel came & sat with me & started pinching chips of my plate. I told him the food was free if he wanted to go get his own but he said "No thanks Ang, I'd rather just share yours"."

The next week (they were getting worse by the week): "Elton invited me to his party & I usually go to Elton's parties but I had something else on so was really late but when I got there, soon as I got through the door Elton came up & said "Ang, I was worried you weren't going to make it", so I said "Elton, you know I'd never miss one of your parties"."

The Panel guys were always left giving each other those "What's she on" looks & eventually gave her enough rope...

When Mat Le Blanc came out to promote the Lost in Space movie she said, "I talked to Matty on the weekend who isn't feeling very well & asked him if he could make it to the interview & he said "You know me Ang, if I can make it I will"."

Then The Panel guys then said that they'd actually procured the footage of her meeting with Mat Le Blanc & her face just dropped. What we saw was Mat Le Blanc was standing on a stage at a Westfield & was ill so cut his visit short & just as he was leaving, about thirty journalists clambered around the stage firing questions (Angela was somewhere in the third row back) & he just looked at them all & said thank you & walked away.

Then they cut back to the studio & all the people in the audience were laughing, all The Panel guys were pointing at her going "Ahhhhhhh!" & she just sat there staring down at the desk not saying anything until the segment was over.

The next week Larry Zion(?) from Triple J took over the segment & she was never seen on the show again.

It was great! I reckon they should stick that on one of their DVDs!

But Angela's one of those types who'll always keep coming back like a bad penny. People inevitably always do when they have a high profile parent. Ask Matthew Newton...

I've found Angela Bishop irritating, irrelevant and embarrassing probably since she first had the misfortune of appearing on my idiot box.

I think most other journalists, especially music journalists, have little respect or time for her.

I'd like Ange' to do an up close and personal interview with a white pointer.

Wouldn't that constitute animal cruelty?

I think asking musos questions is a tough gig.

Check out Fuzzy and that other potato Nathan or whatever his name is on Video hits trying to be hip and cool with musos who probably a good 75%+ of the time are totally disinterested, if not openly hostile.

Most ppl Bishop talks to you can tell they're only doing it because they have to.
