oh man, I don't know why, but I feel devestated as I read about this - a real sinking feeling in my stomach.
I really loved Benoit - he was a grat wrestler, and his gimmick was to just be himself it seemed

The Benoit news is awful, just stunning. What a cruel world it can be sometimes. You can never be 100% sure of some people I guess is the lesson here ??

Hmmm...unreal...question is why ????...always been bad blood between Sullivan and Benoit....I dunno...but at least bloody Vince finally paid some respect ....will be interesting to see.what the truth is.....Chris benoit ...RIP...I still have your matches in japan ..when U had teeth ...and they were brilliant ....U could work a match any which way ...and loved the biz...and more so ...made sure U put on a good match for the paying public ....still the huge question is why? ...if U did it ...JMO :(:(

Benoit's death and the horrible story that appears to go with it is the most shocking and saddening news I've read for a very long time. I don't know whether I should say RIP, or burn in hell. If he actually murdered his 7yo son I say burn.

therock - Are you saying that Kevin Sullivan is a suspect ? Damn. Kevin and Nancy got divorced like about 10 years ago !
From the evidence available now, it appears that Benoit killed his wife on Friday by boudning her and then strangling her, and then his son on Saturday by smothering him, then later on himself by hanging himself in his weights room. Was it 'roid rage? I don't want to watch another Benoit match EVER .

With the way things are going lately, i really am questioning the worth in continuing on as a fan of the WWE (and in some aspects, wrestling in general).
I feel for the families and friends that are affected by this tragedy.

No libby ...but what causes a man who has a history of drug abuse (painkiller ...and alleged domestic violence to do this ...to his own son ????>..wtf did he do ???..good to see Austins wife talk about domestic violence ...cause stone cold is an arsehole IMO...just think that there has been always bad blood between sullivan and benoit ,,,finally Vince forgot about his own death angle and cancelled Raw ...time they had people that wrestlers could go to to talk to.....about their issues ...their road schedules.....family life...ask any so called top wrestler ...whether the road effects their home life .....and have sometihng done about it ....too hard .....all on $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....shame ... *...and I dont think xfactor that the answer is to stop watching it ...somehow someway ...Vince and his mates HAVE to take an interest in the wrestlers welfare ...JMO

Wade Keller at pwtorch has been advocating an off season, or extended break for wrestlers each year. Each wrestler would take 4 - 6 weeks off in order to rehab injuries etc. These breaks would take place in a rolling fashion, so the shows could still go on, and could be written into angles
