Forward line still worries me, have no -one up there to consistently take a grab, cant reply of guys like Walker and the Porp to kick 3 or 4 each, every week, wont take long and other sides will be tagging Walker, this kid is all class. Still 4 points is 4 points, have a shocker of a tipping round

Yup... And too much going back, back-passing & generally overusing the ball. but I guess that's what happens if you have a coach who tells them not to bomb it long. Telling players not to kick it long up field unless you have a definite target to kick it to when they're in a inside that seems to have a lack of definite targets up there is a catch 22 situation if you as me. That's something that a coach has to resolve, not the players.
And why do they always seem to be some dogmatic about always going through the centre? It just makes their game plan more predictable for an opposition. It's alright when it works but a plan B would be nice for those days when it isn't...
It has to be said that Adelaide are just not a very exciting team to watch. Even thought it ended up being a good win yesterday, I still found myself being disappointed & uninspired by it...

Sent an email to the AFC advising them that I am willing to pay for the advertisement for a new coach in the media world wide, what i saw tjoday was the same as last week, the week before, the week bfore that, the week before that, the year before that and the year before that, wht go on, again he will hit the media saying thats not the type of footy we want to play at the Adelaide Football Club, well sorry Mr Scientist, it keeps happening, FFS Board get rid of the Scientist and get us a bloody Football Coach. As I said on anothe forum, Adelaides game plan is easier to read than the Cat in the Hat

Maybe Richmond & Adelaide could just swap coaches?

No arguement here The thing about Roy is that he's in the position where, if his success were to move, it can only go in one direction. I'm sure he knows that too. Getting out before that happens & moving into a bigger pond with a bigger challenge (for the right money) may be a very tempting proposal for him. I'm amazed no AFL club has tried to get their grubby hands on him before now. Maybe he got a few offers as an Assistant Coach & for which he thought wouldn't be worth moving interstate? If the last straw had not already been drawn that media statement Neil Craig made about telling supporters to expect some more losses & be patient. Bluey, they're not saving money keeping him on, they're losing it. Memberships subscriptions are dropping like flies. Now, I admit that I was never a brilliant football player myself but, whenever I watch the Crows (who are dull to watch even when they're winning these days), it looks like the players hive mentality plays something like this: Let me see... There 's a whole mob of opposition players in the centre or a clear space right through to the forward fifty on the wing so what should I do? I'll bring the ball into the centre where we'll probably lose it because that's what we were trained to do. Okay, now we're in the centre & we were told not to bomb it long & wait until there's a target up front. We don't have any targets up front so we'll just keep hand-passing & back-passing waiting for something that will never happen until we lose it again. Now, is there something else going on that I'm missing or is that about it? Central bloody Districts could roll them!

Disagree here, as more of a Crow i am, I'll prefer Roy Laird to stay with the Mightly Doggies.
