Thanks for taking the reins again Spidey. What's the cutoff time for tips?
Also, can I suggest we don't award a point for a draw? A footy tipper can submit one of three possible outcomes for a match: 1. Home team wins 2. Away team wins 3. A draw I've always believed that the practice of awarding a point to everyone in the event of a drawn game is incorrect. Unless the entrant picked a draw, they did not correctly tip the result. It doesn't mean much here where we're only playing for bragging rights but in other comps where money or free beer is at stake this is a serious debate. It's your comp Spidey, so it's your call.
My tips for Round 1
Sydney Carlton Collingwood Melbourne (win it for Jimmy) Gold Coast Geelong Essendon Bulldogs Port Adelaide

Good to see you back Redfive, after your 2-year break after winning in 2009 (Your really gonna put sports_fan39's 2011 title under threat, as none of us could come close to sports last year).
I'm not in any tipping compo, and not too sure of the official rules, so ok, there will be no points for draw, but tipping draws are accepted.
If anybody catches me, scoring away from the offical tipping rules, just let me know!
Oh yeah Cutoff time would normally be about 2 hours before the first match of the round, but if its not going by the official rules again let me know.

I'd like to apologise to Spideyballbag for the way I worded my previous post. When reading it back I can see that I came across as some sort of expert quoting rules. As far as I'm aware, there are no official rules for footy tipping. The point I was trying to make is that my tips in 3 comps (here, work and family) can have different scores depending on how they score a draw. This can mean I have different scores in different comps and I'd prefer them all to be the same. That's only my opinion and you can take it or leave it. Having run tipping comps in the past, I appreciate the time Spidey puts into this. I humbly apologise for coming across as an arrogant prick. It was not my intention.
As for regaining my 2009 title, I never tip against my home town team Geelong. If they have a good year, so will I.
