Caufield has been decided and surprisingly an australian horse has again beaten an 'A' list of northern hemisphere thoroughbreds even coming from an outside barrier.
Much same thing has happened with Melbourne cup too contrary to concerns it would become an environment for mainly overseas contenders. Maybe australia is more suited to horse genetic providence than we all thought.
