The Spicks and Specks host yesterday said his girls were travelling well and were resting in a Melbourne hospital with their little bundle of joy weighing 3.4kg (7lb 7oz).
"When I woke up yesterday I wasn't a dad. Today I am. Life is good. Wife is better. Baby is the best," Hills wrote on Twitter yesterday.
Hills, who joked he would call his daughter Logie if he won Gold at last Sunday's awards ceremony, said McGregor was in good health.
McGregor, who was at bursting point with Hills on the Logies red carpet last week, said she had loved being pregnant with everything going "smooth sailing" leading up to Saturday's birth.
It has been a big year for Hills who tied the knot with his long-term partner over the Christmas break, just weeks after being introduced to the Queen at the Royal Command Performance in Blackpool.
