Wendy Kingston is a presenter and reporter for Nine News.

She began her media career at ABC Radio in 2000, working in Brisbane before being transferred to the Rockhampton newsroom where she was a general news reporter and reader.

She made the switch to TV a year later. accepting a reporting and back-up newsreading position with WIN Television in Toowoomba on Queensland's Darling Downs.

After six months she became the full-time presenter of the 6pm bulletins for both Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast while continuing to report.

Wendy resigned at the beginning of 2005, crossed her fingers, packed everything she owned into her car and moved to Sydney ... without a job.

It was a move that paid off: she's been working in the Sydney newsroom at Channel Nine ever since.

Wendy currently reads the 4.30 News and evening updates, and also reports for Nine's various bulletins.
