Georgina Robinson is a local ( Brisbane ) girl who hails from the red soil and pineapple farms of Moggill, on the citys western outskirts.
Before she joined Fairfax Media, she was a producer/presenter with ABC News Online and ABC2.
Prior to that she spent two years teaching speech and drama and also enjoyed a stint as a production secretary at the ABCs rural current affairs program Landline.
In her spare time she can be found frequenting the local pool, the local pub and the many great bookshops around the place.
She can even tell you how long it takes to swim from one side of the Brisbane River to the other � and back again � but refuses to answer further questions on the circumstances surrounding the event.
There aren't many pineapples left in Moggill, but Georgina reckons that's the sort of change that makes Brisbane such a challenging city to write about.
They were never great to play amongst, anyway.

Just seen on Midday News, missed her surname Roz Childs said thanks Alise? or Elise? at finish.
Anyone know her name?
EDIT: just saw her again, she signed off as Elise Worthington
