From The Weather Channel Website:
Quote:
Magdalena Roze
Magdalena is part of The Weather Channel’s weekday morning team. She has a wealth of Australian and international television experience, and a passion for television, journalism and the weather.

Magdalena is a scholarship holder and graduate from the University of Sydney where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication. Adding to her media qualifications are her meteorological qualifications. Magdalena has completed a Graduate Diploma in Atmospheric Science at Macquarie University where she was awarded the Biophysical Environments Prize and the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Prize for her academic achievements. She has completed a Meteorological training course at the Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne.

Since completing her tertiary studies, Magdalena has built up an impressive CV of television roles, behind and in front of camera, on programmes for networks including Channel Nine, the National Geographic Channel (Australia and NZ) and the BBC in London. The highlight of her career so far was accepting the 2010 ASTRA Award for Best News Coverage for The Weather Channel’s coverage of Victoria’s Black Saturday bushfires.

Magdalena’s passion for weather started during her studies at James Ruse Agricultural High School.

Lee Brooks

Lee is a member of the afternoon team on The Weather Channel; she joined us in 2007 with a passion for all things meteorological.

Lee loves the energy-charged environment at The Weather Channel which mixes the professionalism of a live news environment, with the lively and enthusiastic discussions of the teams off-air. But above all, she enjoys the ever changing face of weather and how it intimately affects the lives of individuals and communities everyday. It gives Lee great pleasure observing and de-mystifying the power of Mother Nature for our audience.

Lee came to us with a long career in television including acting, writing and presenting. After deciding to focus on broadcast journalism, Lee concluded her studies and began working as a finance news presenter before the lure of the weather became too loud to ignore. Since joining The Weather Channel, she has completed the Meteorological training course at the Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne.

When she’s not at work at The Weather Channel, Lee can be found at the beach, running or horse-riding to keep fit.

May as well put the other two in here while I have the site open:
Quote:
Hannah McEwan

Hannah, who is from coastal Victoria, was pushed into her first wave by her keen surfer Dad when she was just 5 years old. Growing up in the water meant she quickly became fascinated by weather, in particular, the weather that affects the surf.

This fascination grew through school and Hannah was subsequently accepted into The University of Melbourne where she majored in meteorology.

After travelling around the world, following the seasons, surfing and teaching surfing, she settled back in Sydney where she worked as a meteorologist for The Weather Company.

Hannah was able to make a step towards her dream of being a weather presenter when she moved to Queensland to present the weather for Channel 9 across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Most recently, in March 2010, we were lucky enough for Hannah to move down to Sydney so that she could join us as a presenter on The Weather Channel’s weekend team.

Sally Ayhan

While studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Sally nurtured her enthusiasm for travel by exploring the globe. After several adventures, Sally decided to complete her studies at the prestigious Bosphorus University in Istanbul.

Upon completing her degree, Sally stayed on in Istanbul to begin her career in media. Sally began writing for Time Out Istanbul and also featured in various Turkish television series and commercials.

In 2008, Sally returned to Sydney to begin her presenting career, which combined both her interest in editorial and performance. Presenting for various online channels, Sally has worked on both documentaries and film review programs. More recently, Sally has produced and presented her own food and nightlife segment for the online channel, “Eat Do See”.

After indulging in the wonders of weather, Sally heads outdoors to enjoy Sydney’s luminous landscapes.
