the tablecloth top...

Last Th/Fri Kath was reading the morning news.....maybe too early in the morning, makeup not quite right and lighting (when standing) not sympathetic, producing a "warts and all" Kath....those two tiny cysts very visible. But... last night, with appropriate lighting for the Biz (can't believe I'm saying this!), Kath looked sensational. Very fine eye-liner and subtle eye-shadowing..... she is so incredibly beautiful, and 20b's high quality images do full justice to her beauty. And yes, I agree, that top is like a tablecloth.... also shapeless, and it always makes Kath's shoulders appear broader, making her look like she wouldn't be out of place on a gridiron pitch! Sorry Kath, you know I luv ya guts sweetheart!

Ah ha, 20b I thought that form-fitting dress would awaken you from your Kath-capping slumber...... and Kath is back on The Drum tonight (and maybe Friday night?), a role for which she is surely being groomed by the ABC and which she clearly enjoys. Female presenters on The Drum seem to have dried up. The return of Julia Baird seems problematic as she didn't look fully recovered from her cancer treatment during that now infamous coronation broadcast with Stan Grant. And Ellen seems to have relinquished her principal role as presenter? Unfortunately The Drum has become the John Barron show...... and rather pedestrian. Kath's enthusiasm and energy is well-suited to this program. Rather than the formulaic format of the Biz, The Drum allows Kath much greater scope to use her people skills and engaging personality to create an informative and entertaining program.... and she's so good at it!

KATH HAS TAKEN LEAVE FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR!! She tweeted: "After 25 years it's time to take some annual leave, 6 months worth. See you at Xmas!!"
I knew something was up when Kirsten Aiken suddenly appeared as the host of the Biz on Monday....and Kath's profile was removed from The Business website!! Kath hasn't been her usual self since returning after the school holiday break. I've noticed from time to time a dispiritedness in her presentations....always professional, but seemingly just going through the motions. I get the feeling that there is something bothering her. It may involve her personal life, but I suspect that it all relates to missing out on the challenge of being a permanent presenter on The Drum this year.... and maybe Julia Baird returning to The Drum tonight was a precipitating factor? Kath's last hosting session on The Drum last week was indicative of her mindset.... dressing down and discarding her heels for flat shoes. Hopefully Kath is just burnt-out (perimenopause and approaching 50 contributing factors?), and she is not suffering a family crisis of some sort, which is often the case when a huge wad of leave is taken? I also hope that when Kath returns, she will be offered a challenging role more suited to her skills and talent as the wonderful presenter that she is. I for one am going to miss her....

Today she is on weekend breakfast with Fauzia. Did Christmas come early?

Impalethe, Christmas has come early for me.... having Kath back! It may be just a one-off for this weekend, to plug some holes..... experienced presenters are thin on the ground at the ABC with Stan Grant, Johanna Nicholson and possibly Kath all leaving in the last few weeks. She may have been persuaded to fill-in for one last time before starting her leave..... interesting to see if she is back on The Biz next week?
However, I get the impression that whatever the problem has been, that it may have been resolved? Kath looked completely re-energized..... back to her vivacious, gorgeous self, evidenced by 20b's images. Cheeky, quick-witted, smart.... when Kath's in this mood she is irresistible! I haven't heard her heartily laughing and joking for ages..... it's as if some major problem has been lifted from her shoulders. I'm just over-joyed to have her back, if only temporarily? Kath is an even more beautiful woman when she's happy!
