Francesca has signed a deal with Network 10 worth a cool $1 million a year to head up their Melbourne Cup Carnival telecast !!

But $1 million per year for 5 years is ridiculous, she provides a bit of eye candy, speaks confidently, but is not worth that much for a couple of weeks work. Particularly given CH10 had already bought the rights to the Melbourne Cup, what other choice did she have? Sky Racing? There needs to be return on investment, some of these presenters don't bring in the advertising dollars or viewers that the network think they do. Lisa Wilkinson, Karl Stefanodick, etc.
