Amy Culpitt - Nine News Darwin
Amy began her media career in 2004 on commercial radio in Darwin when she accepted a role as a weekend presenter, before quickly moving through the ranks to become a co-host on the popular Hot100 breakfast show.
Two years later Amy made the difficult decision to leave her role in radio and move to Adelaide after she was offered a scholarship at UniSA to complete a Bachelor of Journalism.
After university, Amy returned to her home town of Darwin where she took up a role as a Media Advisor for a federal politician during the 2010 election campaign.
Craving a return to journalism, Amy accepted a job as news presenter for Imparja Television which was based in Channel Nine’s Darwin studios. It’s here that she began casual work with Nine News on top of her presenting role – before taking a full time position as Senior Political Reporter in the same year.
Recently, Amy became the weekend news presenter in Darwin and regularly fills in as evening news and sports presenter.
In her other life she’s a keen netballer and enjoys cooking and listening to classical music.
