“I meet a lot of people but it’s about connecting with someone and that happens very rarely.

“I’m quite fussy and I don’t mind that.

“As I’ve said before I’m not going to date any more d ... heads so it has to be someone who’s in the right headspace. I don’t really want to waste any more time.

“I know it sounds lazy but I’d rather stay at home reading a book than go out on another appalling date. I’ve had my fair share.”

Armytage, 36, says she is comfortable and happy with her life and would start making more of an effort to meet someone.

Her role on makeover show Bringing Sexy Back, which airs tonight (Tuesday) on Channel 7, has brought her into the spotlight.

“I knew when I did it that it would bring the discussion back to my weight which is not my favourite topic of conversation, but I think I’ve been slowly transforming since my teenage years,’’ she said.

“I was not an attractive teenager, I was all curly hair and braces. I was a bit bigger during Dancing With the Stars and I took that weight off, but my weight goes up and down. I’ve put on a few kilos over winter and I’ll lose them again. I’m pretty happy with how I look.”
