Florez stated in a Tweet that she was turning over her spot as NSW political editor to senior reporter Lachlan Kennedy.
Florez joined Ten’s politics beat in 2014, with the NSW political editor appointment coming two years later. She had previously reported for WIN TV Canberra, PRIME7, and Nine.
“It’s been an eventful 3 years - 2 Premiers, 2 Opposition leaders, many dramas and lots of laughs -thanks to an awesome bunch of people in the gallery,” read part of Florez’s Tweet.(
