Quote:
CHARLOTTE Dawson has been found dead at her Woolloomooloo home.

The popular television presenter is understood to have been found by a security guard this morning.

Dawson, 47, had long battled depression.

Police confirmed they were called to Woolloomooloo wharf at 11.18am today.

A police spokesman said the woman was yet to be formally identified and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

damn.. she was a lovely personality, just basically the internet got to her. I think if you are prone to other's judgment, just stay away from such things as Tweeter and whatnot, or just stay away from the media entirely... she let it get to her over and over... trolls and trolling is never going to stop, not unless the world becomes Enlightened, and that's not going to happen any time soon.

She was beautiful.. such a shame.

That's sad. I've always liked her and one of my very earliest caps on an Amiga was of her. The Black Dog is a terrible thing.

Very sad. A friend of my suffers depression on top of a drinking problem. Each problem fuels the other. I always worry when I don't get a reply to a text message.

Yes, depression is absolutely fueled by tablets (even antidepressants after a time), or alcohol. It will exacerbate the emotions x at least 10. I experienced depression for years, and was on some kind of tablet or tablets the entire time. The emotions and thoughts were simply overpowering; the drugs/alcohol fuel the emotions to such a degree that you can become overwhelmingly sad, feel utterly hopeless and useless, and suicidal. Its just like pouring petrol on a fire. As soon as I removed all tablets and alcohol from my system I never reached those depths again - and never had a single bad thought as in suicidal, again.

Anyone that read this who might be depressed - I urge you to get off tablets and most definitely stay away from alcohol at *all* costs. You aren't doing yourself any favours whatsoever. You only compound the misery, depression becomes very, very hard to escape once you are in the clutches of alcohol/meds/drugs.
