Thanks 20b for Sunday's caps. You were busy scoring your perfect (?) trifecta .... Kath followed by Mariam, then Gemma! Kath appears to be reclaiming the Tuesday night slot on The Drum ... starting tonight! This is an interesting last 2 months of the year for Kath. She appears to enjoy hosting WB, but Fauziah and Johanna might both return at any stage. Last year I had my suspicions that she was about to be cast as a permanent presenter on The Drum, but circumstances mitigated against this outcome. The ABC would presently be in discussion about allocation of roles for 2024 ... The Drum presenter role beckons for Kath, who deserves to have her own prime time program rather than being the fill-in queen for others. It is patently obvious that she has the ability to present any of the ABC's journalistic programs including 7.30 and Q&A. Kath has been the bridesmaid for The Drum for the last 6 years .... it's about time she assumed the role of the bride!

Gorgeous indeed Zygon ..... that pic is an oldie but a goodie! Kath was just a pretty girl then, looking rather naive and innocent, but still very striking..... those beautiful arms and shoulders have never seen the light of day for her entire career at the ABC. Oh that Kath could climb into a dress like that now! Whereas 20b's usual excellent caps over the last few weeks reveal her transformation into the beautiful, mature and confident woman that is Kathryn today .... although every iteration of Kath is fabulous. A surprise appearance on The Drum tonight, with Kath replacing the scheduled Julia Baird who continues to look very fragile after returning from her latest cancer bout.....Kath once again being run ragged by having to front up on Monday's Drum after hosting WB all weekend. Is there really no one else who could have been brought in as host ..... Kathryn you are a workhorse!

20b.....heads up! Kath is once again on The Drum tonight (second time this week)..... at least she has has a couple of days break this time! Hopefully all these additional Drum hosting duties are a precursor for Kath to assume a permanent position next year?

Thanks 20b for Thursday's well selected Drum caps of Kath looking her usual lovely self. However it was so disappointing not to have caps of Kath today as she was at her dynamic, entertaining best .... forget the cover-up attire, Kathryn looked absolutely fabulous and was firing on all cylinders. Honestly, she makes other presenters look pedestrian and bland .... and she brings out the best in her co-hosts. Incidentally, after three months this is the last weekend of the rotating co-hosts as Fauziah is back next week. Kath's effervescence and animated repartee makes Weekend Breakfast. In my line of business it is often said that wine is food for the soul .... but for me, Kath is food for the heart!

Many thanks 20b ..... unfortunately Kath was not so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today. I don't know whether it was because the program was dominated by the bloody Gaza conflict, but Kath looked flat, tired and distracted .... James Glenday taking the majority of the interviews. Such a massive swing and contrast with Saturday's effervescent WB .... Kath hardly cracked a smile for the entire program, as evidenced by 20b's caps, which is so unlike her. When Kath looks sad and vulnerable, you just want to give her a big cuddle..... she does tend to wear her heart on her sleeve, one of her many endearing qualities, but difficult when you are anchoring a national TV program. Clearly she is concerned about something.... hopefully the issue can soon be satisfactorily resolved.
